Voting in 4 municipalities in the north of Kosovo for the early elections was closed without incident

The Central Election Commission announced that the election process has ended in the 4 municipalities in the north of Kosovo, for the extraordinary elections for mayors in the four municipalities of North Mitrovica, Zveçan, Leposaviq and Zubin Potok, as well as for the early elections for the two municipal assemblies Zvecan and Leposavic.

At the press conference, it was announced that the election process in these four municipalities took place normally and without any obstacles.

In these extraordinary elections, according to the CEC, 1,567 citizens voted, or 3.47 percent of voters. The head of the CEC, Kreshnik Radoniqi, said that “the process has developed without any problems and that the first results are expected to be published on the CEC website after 20:00”.

Participation in elections, according to municipalities:

Leposavic: 141 voters or 1.06 percent

Zubin Potok: 385 voters or 5.78 percent

Zvecan: 204 voters or 2.92 percent

North Mitrovica: 837 voters or 4.62 percent

According to the data previously reported by the CEC, until 15:00 in the municipality of Leposaviq 110 voters (0.83%), in the municipality of Zubin Potok 240 voters (3.6%), in Zveçan 145 voters (2.07% ) and in North Mitrovica 597 voters (3.3%). The election process was boycotted by the main party of Serbs in Kosovo, Lista Serbe.
