World Bank, capacity building to promote investment in the Western Balkans

Albania aims to expand foreign investments in potential sectors of the country’s economy that generate employment and development.
Representatives from line institutions are participating in the series of online training being organized by the World Bank on Capacity Building for Investment Promotion in the Western Balkans.
According to the WB announcement, participants from the six countries of the region are part of this comprehensive program on foreign direct investments (FDI) which aims to introduce the best international practice techniques and to create a group of experts for the promotion and facilitation of the investments in Western Balkans.
WB announces that the program has been developed based on its extensive experience which has provided support to investment promotion agencies (IPAs) around the world and follows a modular approach that is adapted to the specific needs of IPAs in the Western Balkans.
The first session focused on the FDI trends and basics. 50 investment promotion officials were participating. Other sessions include topics on the FDIs potentials, novelties and impact.
