Xhaçka, Reçak Massacre still asks for justice and reconciliation

Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka, commemorated the Reçak Massacre, which horrified the world and awakened the conscience of world diplomacy to mobilize for Kosovo.
Through a post on social networks, Xhaçka states that “today we commemorate with honor the 45 innocent men, women and children who were massacred in Reçak by the Serbian regime, in an act of deliberate and indiscriminate murder”.
The Albanian chief diplomat emphasizes that today their memory and the memory of thousands of men, women and children killed in countless other war crimes committed by the Serbian regime in Kosova still asks for justice and reconciliation.
Minister Xhaçka said that this massacre serves as a powerful reminder of how much our entire region must work together to build a peaceful and prosperous future, governed with a philosophy that rejects the mentality of genocide, which is responsible for the massacre in Reçak.
On January 15, 1999, 45 unarmed Albanians were barbarically murdered and massacred in the village of Reçak.
After Recak, the issue of Kosova was called for a solution at an international conference in Rambouillet and Paris, the failure of which activated NATO air campaign against the Serbian military forces in 1999.
