TIRANA, February 25 – The well-known Albanian actor Zhani Ziçishti passed away at the age of 86, leaving behind a rich artistic legacy that will inspire generations.

Born on May 31, 1940, in Korça, Ziçishti pursued his passion for the arts at the Higher Institute of Arts, today the Academy of Arts, where he developed his artistic skills. After graduating, he joined the troupe of Teatri ‘A.Z. Çajupi’, performing on stage with energy, emotion, and dedication in every role. Audiences recognized and admired his talent for bringing each character to life, both in comedy and drama.

His first film role was as the teacher Agron in “Lumë drite” [River of Light] (1970). Later, he appeared in 16 artistic films, combining stage and screen acting, and leaving a lasting mark on Albanian theatre and cinema.

Ziçishti’s name remains a symbol of dedication and passion for the arts, reflecting a lifelong commitment to Albanian culture.
