2027 fiscal package aims to ease living costs through tax cuts

Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj says the 2027 fiscal package will focus on citizens and aim to lower the cost of living. Planned measures target food prices, fuel costs, rents and housing. The minister said the government considered concerns raised by citizens when drafting the package.
The proposed measures include a reduction in value-added tax on food, lower tax burdens for the middle class and the removal of the fuel circulation tax at filling stations. Small businesses will remain exempt from taxation, while the government will seek to bring more of them into the formal economy.
The minister said the new fiscal policy also aims to improve public services and support economic development. She described the package as a social measure designed to improve living standards for all.
