27 years since NATO’s Kosovo intervention/ Minister Hoxha: The world chose not to remain indifferent

Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha marked the 27th anniversary of NATO’s air campaign against Serbian forces with a post on X.
Hoxha emphasized that Operation Allied Force aimed to stop violence and ethnic cleansing against Kosovars. He highlighted Albania’s crucial role during the crisis, opening its doors to thousands of refugees and mobilizing citizens and institutions to provide humanitarian aid.
“Twenty-seven years ago, the world chose action over indifference,” Hoxha wrote. “Albania welcomed those in need, despite its own challenges, showing extraordinary solidarity.”
He added that today, Kosovo is a free and independent state, steadily building democratic institutions and playing a responsible role in the region.
Hoxha concluded by honoring the victims, remembering the courage of those who resisted oppression, and praising NATO and international partners for restoring hope, dignity, and freedom in Kosovo.
