The National Museum of Iconography “Onufri”, located in the heart of the Castle neighborhood of Berat, is one of the main visiting sites for visitors and tourists from all over the world, in every seasons of the year.

Every day in the courtyard of the museum you see visitors of different religious beliefs, who adore his works of art, especially those of religious coexistence.

For years, this museum continues to arouse the interest of visitors, especially foreign ones, with the values ​​of its collection.

This year has marked the highest number of visitors, as in other museum in Albania.

“The Museum of Iconography ‘Onufri’ is the most important museum in the entire list of Berat’s visiting sites. It is a cultural destination and it also has a large art gallery belonging to the XIX-XX centuries. The gallery also presents the historical, religious, cultural heritage of this part of Berat.

The collection of the “Onufri” Iconographic Museum in Berat consists of 200 objects selected from the funds of churches and monasteries in the Berat County. It mainly consists of icons and a group of liturgical objects. The works of this museum date from the 14th century to the beginning of the 20th century.
