The Transparency Board has announced new maximum prices for diesel and petrol. The limits took effect at 15:00 on October 29.

Retailers may charge no more than ALL 212 per litre for diesel. The wholesale cap stands at ALL 200 per litre. For petrol, the retail ceiling is ALL 181 per litre. The wholesale limit is ALL 169 per litre.

The new caps will remain in force until the board meets again to review prices.

The board has reminded fuel wholesalers and retailers that they must comply with the decision. It warned that authorities will suspend the activities of operators who violate the rules.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy said they would protect Albanian consumers and uphold fair competition in the market.
