Tirana, October 3 – Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, met a high-level delegation from British Council UK. The delegation was led by Baroness Wendy Alexander, Vice-Chair of the Board, and Adrian Chadwick, Regional Director for Wider Europe.

Gonxhja said the meeting marked a key step in strengthening dialogue on Albania’s creative industries. He added that it reflected the government’s strategic vision for developing the cultural, audiovisual, and creative innovation sectors.

The minister pointed out that discussions focused on international partnerships, supporting young artists and professionals, and creating a sustainable framework to enhance the role of creative industries as an economic and social driver.

Gonxhja emphasized that cooperation with the British Council will open new opportunities for development, education, and innovation. He said it will help position Albania as a regional hub for creativity and culture.
