63rd National Children’s Song Festival – Three Nights Live on RTSH, Winner to Represent Albania at Junior Eurovision

The square in front of “Migjeni” Theater in Shkodër has turned into a festive construction site. Workers are building the stage for the 63rd National Children’s Song Festival.

The event will last three nights, starting May 30 and ending June 1, on International Children’s Day.

Orjeta Kelaj, festival director, said the tradition continues. She noted that parents increasingly bring their children to the cultural center and that they stay active throughout the year, not just during the festival.

This year’s festival features quality entries from all Albanian regions. The winner in the 9–14 age group will represent Albania in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Artistic director Roland Guli said this edition is special. The entries are more numerous and of higher quality. The festival split participants into two categories to balance tradition with innovation.

Stage directing will add a new element. Director Klaudia Mikeli said she feels a great responsibility to combine Shkodër’s artistic spirit and children’s voices with the stage design.

Co-host Edona Reshitaj said the festival will include beautiful presentations for each song. She aims to take children and the audience into a magical world.

Several prominent Albanian musicians will greet the festival. This event is not just a music celebration for children but an important cultural occasion for Shkodër and the country.

RTSH will broadcast all three nights exclusively.
