65 musicians from 15 European countries concert in Durrës! Concert with classical music in the Amphitheater of Durrës

Art and Music were the headlines of Saturday evening at the Durrës amphitheater.

65 musicians from 15 different European countries gave a magical night to all participants. The conductor of the orchestra, Desar Sulejmani, said that on this night music and politics were intertwined, while he also showed the purpose of this concert, which also teaches the path of integration of the Balkan countries into the EU. I think that the message that we bring today not only from The Balkans, but also other European countries, show the way that these 6 countries are still not part of the EU. It was a political initiative, but definitely accompanied by music and culture. We have focused on the genre of symphonic dances. The next stop is in Tetovo, Kosovo, Sarajevo, Montenegro, then in Germany in Berlin”, Desar Sulejmani, conductor of the orchestra said.

With artists from Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Germany, etc., this orchestral concert showed once again that music has the power to bring everyone together. While expressing the emotions they experienced, the participating artists said that they felt very good in Albania.

“I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a very nice experience and I am happy to be part of this project. I’m a big fan of history and playing in space in this amphitheater is really a beautiful experience”, Kristina Rokvic said.

“It’s a very good feeling to play with young musicians from all over Europe. It was a very good week, tiring of course, but when the result is good, the work is forgotten”, Marigona Komani, violinist said.

“I am from Germany. It is my first time in Albania and I am very happy to be here. I have never performed with so many nationalities. The amphitheater is a special location. Something different from the concerts I’ve done. People here are very open, kind,” a violinist from Germany said.

The concert in Durrës was attended and applauded by dozens of art lovers from Durrës, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Tirana, while the performances will continue in several other European countries.
