The Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, announced today, through a post on social networks, the opening of an exhibition that pays homage to the first institution of the Albanian language, the School of Korça.

“The true meaning of March 7 is in Korça, in the First Albanian School, which spread the light throughout Albania”, writes Minister Margariti, inviting in this way, near the Museum of Education in Korça, where tomorrow on the occasion of the Feast of For teachers, the exhibition “The first students through the evidence of time” will be opened, an exhibition which brings objects, photographs, voices.

March 7 of this year coincides with the 136th anniversary of the School. On this occasion, the Museum of Education has prepared an exhibition of personal items, photographs and materials that will be shown in the video, as a tribute to the effort to learn.

The school was opened on March 7, 1887 in Korça in the last period of the Ottoman Empire. The school building now serves as a museum.
