TKOB brings back on stage “Carnivals of Korça”, Inva Mula as the director, puts on stage the work of her father, Avni Mula

This time, the National Theater of Opera and Ballet will stage a well-known Albanian work. After 45 years, it brings back the famous operetta of the late composer Avni Mula, “Carnivals of Korça”. And of course with the staging of this work, we have another return to the Opera, that of the daughter, the artist Inva Mula, who this time does not appear as a soprano, but off the stage as a director.
On the other hand, returning to his father’s work is as much an emotion as it is a responsibility.
The whole art-loving public will enjoy the liveliness of the Carnival, the beautiful line of love, the “marriages of arrangement bargains ” and the likeness of the bourgeois Korça of the period before WWI. The costume design of Elva Bella will create the atmosphere of the bourgeois families of the 1930s, the graphic images of the scenes find their inspiration in Korça, of the photographer Gjon Mili.
This production will be performed by the Soloists, Choir and Symphony Orchestra of National Theater of Opera and Ballet, in cooperation with the Symphony Orchestra of the Armed Forces, for 4 consecutive nights, starting from February 25-28.
