Alban Bujari’s exhibition brings back the evidence of the massacre of Hasi

The photo exhibition of the photojournalist Alban Bujari opened in the National Museum of Kosovo. The exhibition titled “Smell of blood” brings back the evidence of the massacre in Hasi, Rugova.
“Photographs help shape our understanding of culture, history and identity. It is important to document this history, of Reçaki, Prekazi, etc.,” says the author of the exhibition.
As a means of accurate and objective documentation, photography was also used by Alban Bujari, in whose archive there are countless images belonging to the period of the war in Kosovo (1997-1999).
For him “war pictures” mean more than just images. Through them, the great pain of the war and what the Serbian regime did is shown.
The photographs, taken on January 29, 1999, will remain on display for two weeks. Listed in the “Blood Wind” exhibition, the 28 photographs commemorate 21 people killed by Serbian forces, including Kosovo Liberation Army fighters and village civilians.
The exhibition will remain open in the Lapidarium of the National Museum of Kosovo.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Kosovo promises to continue supporting such projects so that the truth of Kosovo is shown with an even more powerful voice.
