On the occasion of the 555th anniversary of the death of Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu, the well-known composer Aleksandër Peçi has published on his online page 6 musical works, dedicated to our national hero.
Symphony no. 5 in 10 time, the music of the documentary film “Skenderbeu” directed by Vladimir Prifti, Donika’s Lament, 2 works for piano, Sonata no. 3 for piano “Skenderbeu”.
“Some of these works are new to the public”, writes Aleksandër Peçi, and one of them is “Vaji i Donika”(Donika’s Lament).
Meanwhile, yesterday the Central Radio of Bucharest broadcast a special program dedicated to our national hero and, among other things, also broadcast the Skenderbeu Symphony No. 5 by Aleksandër Peçi.
