The issue of borders was referred from Albania and Greece to The Hague, Dendias: A new chapter opens in the relations between the two countries!

“Greece and Albania, with the decision to refer the demarcation to the International Court of Justice in The Hague open a new chapter in their bilateral relations,” that is the statement issued by Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.

“This decision is exemplary in how important issues can be resolved when both sides are focused on respect for international law and good neighborly relations,” Nikos Dendias said in his message.

Dendias participated in an event organized online by ELIAMEP in cooperation with the Albanian Open Society Foundation (OSFA), on Greek-Albanian relations.

At the beginning of his speech, Dendias mentioned the historical ties between Greece and Albania, as well as the contribution of the Greek National Minority, as well as that of Albanian citizens living and prospering in Greece, in creating a lasting bridge of friendship between the two countries, write the local media.

The Foreign Minister also reiterated that Greece supports Albania’s European perspective, while also mentioning the donation of 20,000 vaccines to treat covid-19.
