Albania and North Macedonia increase “pressures” to be on the same line in anticipation of the first intergovernmental conference for the opening of negotiations between the two countries for membership in the European Union, reports newsbomb.al.

This is the purpose of today’s visit of the Albanian Chief Negotiator for the EU, Mr. Zef Mazi in North Macedonia today, say official Albanian sources.

In Skopje, Mazi will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani. They are expected to exchange views on the process, assess the current progress of the two countries, and the organization of this conference with the EU.

After the meeting, the two officials will have a joint press conference, while at noon, at 12.00 Zef Mazi will have a meeting with Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferri.
