Croatian Foreign Minister: Albania and Macedonia have met the criteria for negotiations. Kosovo deserves visa liberalization

North Macedonia and Albania have met all the criteria to open membership negotiations in the European Union as soon as possible, and Kosovo deserves visa liberalization, Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic Radman said on Tuesday.

Prior to the meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU member states, it was stressed that there is still no agreement to open negotiations with North Macedonia due to Bulgaria’s opposition.

There are no obstacles for Albania, but as Croatia’s HRT reports, some countries do not want to separate the issue of opening negotiations with Albania from the opening of negotiations with North Macedonia.

Minister Grlić Radman said that Kosovo should get visa liberalization as soon as possible and that Croatia strongly supports this.

“Croatia would like to discuss the candidate status of Bosnia and Herzegovina as soon as possible,” Grlić Radman said, stressing once again the need to change the election law in that country in order to ensure the equality.
