Tirana International Airport: 10.7 Million Passengers in 2024, Targeting 12 Million in 2025

Prime Minister Edi Rama responded today to questions posed via social media platforms.
Speaking from Berlin, where Albania is the Honored Country at the ITB Tourism Fair for 2025 under the slogan “Albania All Senses,” Rama introduced Manjola Kaso, the head of aviation development at Tirana Airport.
Kaso stated, “this is an exceptional opportunity for us as an airport. We are looking for chances to meet with our existing partners to strengthen our relationships, and we are also exploring the possibility of engaging with new partners to expand Tirana International Airport’s network and further enhance our global connections“.
“2024 has been one of our most successful years, with 10.7 million passengers expected by the end of December, across 113 destinations. This year, we’re adding three new airline partners and three confirmed new destinations,” she added.
“We are hopeful this year will be even more successful. Our target is to reach 12 million passengers,” Kaso concluded.
“We will make it happen, no doubt,” PM Rama said.
