Durrës Becomes an ‘Art Port’ with the Arrival of “Art Explora” Ship

Prime Minister Edi Rama visited the “Art Explora” ship to get an overview of the cultural activities that will be offered for ten days in the coastal city of Durrës, ranging from exhibitions to artistic performances, festivals, and concerts, aiming to bring art closer to the Albanian public.
Prime Minister Rama shared a video on social media, accompanied by Durrës Mayor Emirana Sako, the head of the French “Art Explora” foundation, Frédéric Jousset, French Minister for Europe Benjamin Haddad, and other organizers of the event. He described the “Art Explora” ship as a “unique experience that gives Durrës, for ten consecutive days, the status of an art port.”
Thus, the city of Durrës welcomes one of the most remarkable cultural events of the year, as the world’s largest catamaran of its kind, part of the international Art Explora initiative, docks in the city’s harbor to offer a one-of-a-kind experience to the public.
For ten consecutive days, citizens and visitors will have the opportunity to engage in a range of high-level cultural and artistic activities open to the public.
This extraordinary event transforms Durrës into a meeting point between classical and contemporary art, promoting the city as a Mediterranean cultural hub.
