The international festival ‘Violinistic Greetings’ enters its 13th edition with support from the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation. It remains the only festival in Albania dedicated entirely to the violin.

This edition features well-known violinists from Albania and abroad, including guests from North America and Brazil.

The opening concert, titled “Greetings from Vienna,” brings a recital by violinist Ina Kosturi and pianist Rejsi Prosi. The performance takes place tomorrow in the Grand Hall of the University of Arts as part of the Faculty of Music’s concert season.

Kosturi composed a new piece, also titled “Greetings from Vienna,” for violin and piano, created especially for this edition. The recital includes three Albanian works for violin and two rarely performed pieces by Aaron Copland and Alberto Ginastera.

Kosturi appears as both composer and performer. Her program includes a ‘Sonata’ for violin and piano and ‘Improvisation for Violin Solo’, published by the renowned Vienna-based Universal Edition. She recently won Third Prize and an Honorable Mention at the Vienna Classical Competition, ‘Arnold Rose’ Competition, organized in partnership with Mozarthaus in honor of the Vienna Philharmonic’s former concertmaster.
