The National Children’s Theater Festival closed its fifth edition. The theater group from Shkodër won first prize with the play Matilda.

The festival brought together young artists from six cities: Berat, Dimal, Vlorë, Shkodër, Elbasan, and Kukës. Each night, they performed their plays on stage. Children aged 5 to 15 filled the museum city’s stage for four nights in a row. They gave unforgettable emotions to the audience.

The Elbasan theater group won second prize. The children’s group from Berat won third prize with the play 8 People + 2.

The Municipality of Berat and the Directorate of Tourism and Activities organized the festival for the fifth year in a row. It offers a great opportunity to share culture and traditions between cities. It also aims to promote and encourage young artists to join cultural centers for children. This supports the shared need to raise new generations with Albanian art and culture.
