Albanian and Kosovar Institutions Strengthen Cultural Ties

The Director of the National Center for Books and Reading, Alda Bardhyli, visited the “Hivzi Sulejmani” Library in Pristina.
She was accompanied by Sibel Halimi, Director of the Directorate of Culture in Pristina, and Naime Beqirajaj, Director of the Library. Bardhyli closely observed the work and book collections both at the central library and its branches across the capital and nearby villages.
The three directors agreed to deepen cooperation between the cultural, literary, and artistic institutions. They plan to exchange books, experiences, events, and authors.
“We discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in promoting Albanian literature, with a focus on joint cultural and literary activities,” said Sibel Halimi.
Halimi also informed Bardhyli about new cultural and artistic spaces created in Pristina and ongoing efforts to encourage reading, especially among younger generations.
Alda Bardhyli is visiting Pristina as part of the “Prishtina 2025” Book Fair, which opened its 25th edition on Wednesday, June 11.
