The “Dritëro Agolli” Museum in Devoll is the newest project now underway in the writer’s hometown.

Korça Prefect Nertil Jole announced the project. It is co-financed by the Korça Regional Council and the Municipality of Devoll.

Local authorities attended the ceremony held today. They officially began laying the foundations for this long-awaited project.

The museum is being built in Menkulas, Dritëro Agolli’s birthplace. According to local officials, it is designed to honor a giant of Albanian literature and a proud son of Devoll—one who made the name of Devoll known far and wide.

The museum will become a key tourist destination, not only for the Municipality of Devoll but for the entire Korça region.
