Shirokë Welcomes Visitors to Annual “Lake Festival”

For three days, “Lake Festival” in Shirokë is the main event in Shkodër this weekend.
Mayor of Shkodër, Benet Beci, praised the festival as a three-day celebration by the lake. It started yesterday and will continue until June 21.
“Last night’s atmosphere on the lakefront was magical,” Beci wrote on social media. The National Circus opened the event with a special performance that thrilled both children and adults. He added that tonight features traditional Shkodër music.
This festival brings attention to Shiroka and Lake Shkodër—the largest lake in the Balkans. The area holds great tourism potential. It is increasingly attracting investment from both the municipality and the Albanian government, as well as growing numbers of visitors.
“Lake Festival” is a unique event that brings life, culture, and entertainment to the lakeshore. The program includes fairs, water sports, exhibitions, and concerts.
