Satirical Play Negotiating Peace Tours Europe, Reaches Milan Festival

The comedy “Negotiating Peace” was successfully staged in Milan at Teatro Out Off.

Jeton Neziraj’s play delivered a powerful and deeply provocative performance. The audience experienced a comedy that challenges ideas of peace and diplomacy. It raised serious questions about what happens behind closed doors.

Directed by Blerta Neziraj and written by Jeton Neziraj, the play satirizes diplomatic negotiations in crisis zones. It continues to grow in relevance with today’s global events.

“Negotiating Peace” has toured across Europe. Most recently, it was performed in Milan as part of the international festival “LIFE 2025 – Theatre Arts Media Festival.”

Before Milan, the play had successful showings in cities like Hamburg, Münster, Leipzig, Zagreb, Oslo, Prague, Cividale del Friuli, Florence, and others.

The comedy confronts audiences with the fears, challenges, and hopes that come with peace-building. With satire and sharp political commentary, it explores peace negotiations after major conflicts—including Kosovo, Ukraine, the Middle East, Northern Ireland, and more.

In April, Albanian actress Ema Andrea won the prestigious Italian Premio Adelaide Ristori 2025 for her role in Negotiating Peace.
