Puppet Show “The Anger of Letters” Returns After 40 Years

The beloved puppet play “The Anger of Letters“ returns to the stage after four decades.
The project “Marionettes of Heritage” and the Puppet Theater joined forces to revive this iconic show.
First staged in the 1980s, the play entertained and educated children in kindergartens and elementary schools. It promoted correct and beautiful use of the Albanian language.
The story features the letters of the Albanian alphabet, who get angry because children misuse or forget them. Through funny dialogues and lively scenes, the play teaches the value of reading, writing, and proper speech.
The premiere will take place on September 19 at the Puppet Theater. Children over 5 and nostalgic parents are invited to enjoy the performance.
Directed and adapted by Endri Çela, this renewed version is part of the “EU4CULTURE” program. It is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNOPS, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation.
The Puppet Theater’s director, Melsi Qirici, shared online that rehearsals are underway. The team is working with dedication to revive this theatrical gem for today’s children.
