Tirana’s cultural heritage reached young eyes. They showcased the city’s traditional and authentic values through painting and photography.

With support from the Tirana Municipality and under the “Tirana – Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2025” initiative, URF Center organized “Art & Cultural Heritage in Tirana” at the Reja Center.

First, the event held a painting and photography contest for youth. Next, it offered live music. Then, it opened an exhibition to the public.

During the activity, art built a bridge between generations. Meanwhile, a professional jury judged the artworks. They awarded three main prizes.

In photography, Lorela Lamçe won first prize. Her photo, titled “Tirana’s Fërgesa by Grandma Vjollca,” blended traditional dress with local cuisine. It reflected the capital’s folk tradition through the photographer’s lens.

In painting, Gentiana Beqiri took first prize. She captured her grandmother knitting with needles on a couch using vibrant colors.

Finally, all participants received certificates of appreciation. As a result, the event drew many tourists and promoted tradition through art.
