Korça is preparing for MIK Festival, the annual cultural event led by renowned soprano Inva Mula.

This year, the festival returns for its 8th edition. Mayor Sotiraq Filo announced on social media that it will take place from July 10 to 13.

“Our city welcomes one of the most important cultural events of the summer,” said Filo. “With a rich artistic calendar and participation from well-known Albanian and international performers, MIK promises four nights of music in Korça’s most beautiful venues—a true celebration of art and the city.”

The festival will take place across various locations, from Hani i Pazarit and the “Çajupi” Theater to Drenova and Vithkuq. A special highlight will be the concert dedicated to legendary Albanian tenor Gaqo Çako, marking his 90th birth anniversary.

Among the many special guests is Eno Peçi, Albanian choreographer and principal dancer of the Vienna State Opera.
