Italian Circus “Marina Ofrei” Lights Up Berat Nights

For several days now, the city of Berat has been glowing with the magical lights of the Italian circus “Marina Ofrei.” The circus is set up in the Osum River field, turning it into a vibrant place of joy and excitement.

Every evening, Italian animators and acrobats entertain families from Berat and beyond. Their performances are filled with laughter, emotions, and impressive acts. Each show lasts about an hour and a half.

Audiences enjoy a variety of acts. There are aerial stunts, acrobatics, and even tigers on stage. Children especially love the two clowns, “Banana and Briciola,” whose playful jokes keep them laughing throughout the show.

According to circus director Ricardo Zafatta, choosing Berat was a thoughtful decision. “We chose Berat because it is beautiful, wide, and popular with tourists,” he said. “It’s the best place for our tour.”

He also praised the local audience. “The people here are very warm,” he added. “We feel great in this city.” He explained that the show is for all ages, with acts that include animals, tightrope walkers, acrobats, and especially clowns for kids.

Clowns Roberto Riva and Alex Spada, who play “Banana” and “Briciola,” shared their experience. “The children in Berat are full of joy and energy,” they said. “We love performing for them.”

As the circus continues its shows, one thing is clear: “Marina Ofrei” is more than entertainment. It is a celebration that lights up the hearts of both young and old.
