MIK Fest Returns to Korça from July 10 to 13

Korça will host the 8th edition of the MIK Festival from July 10 to 13. The festival is a major cultural event in southeastern Albania.
Today, the festival officially opened with a press conference that attracted media attention from across the country.
Korça Mayor Sotiraq Filo said the festival, led by internationally renowned soprano Inva Mula, features a rich program. It includes well-known artists from Albania and abroad, performing concerts in various unique locations around Korça and nearby areas.
Filo described the festival as more than a music event. He called it a bridge between cultures that strengthens local identity and promotes Korça as a capital of culture and art.
The festival venues will vary, moving from Hani i Pazarit to the Çajupi Theater, Drenova, and Vithkuq. A highlight will be a concert dedicated to the great Albanian vocal lyricist Gaqo Çako, marking the 90th anniversary of his birth.
Among many guests, the festival will welcome Albanian ballet dancer Eno Peçi, a choreographer and principal dancer at the Vienna State Opera.
