The EU4Culture Steering Committee held its latest meeting to assess the progress of major cultural infrastructure projects.

The Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation took part in the session. Minister Blendi Gonxhja described the meeting as an important step in continuing the transformation of Albania’s cultural infrastructure.

Discussions focused on several projects:

• the ongoing works at the National Historical Museum,
• the upcoming public opening of the Durrës Hammam,
• the completed restoration of Bashtova Castle, marking a key step in unlocking its cultural and tourism potential,
• the reorganization and musealization of the Durrës Archaeological Museum,
• and the coordination of a joint cultural events calendar across beneficiary sites.

Minister Gonxhja stressed the importance of completing all interventions on time and to the highest standards. He highlighted theneed for close cooperation with all stakeholders, including the EU Delegation and UNOPS.

The Ministry emphasized its long-term goal to develop these sites as spaces of creativity and community connection.
