Cultural and Artistic Event Celebrates Albanian Alps Tradition in Montenegro

For over thirty years, the traditional festival in Plava and Gucia, Montenegro, has gathered Albanians from many regions. They come from Montenegro, Albania, Kosova, North Macedonia, and the Diaspora. The event now stands as a major cultural and tourism celebration in the Albanian Alps.

This year, thousands of people attended. Local leaders, honored guests, and artists from across the region joined the celebration. The opening message, *“Welcome to the Albanian Alps,”* expressed the spirit of unity and pride.

The mountain air carried the sounds of drums, songs, and dances. Traditional music filled the valleys with joy and energy. These elements brought people closer and honored their shared heritage.

A respected family from the area received special recognition. Their history of patriotism and dedication to Illyrian-Albanian identity remains strong. Their example continues to inspire efforts to protect culture and memory.

The festival remains a living link between generations. It celebrates shared roots and strengthens bonds among Albanians, wherever they live.
