Sh’Mraja Festival Becomes Annual Tradition in Lurë

The Sh’Mraja Festival is returning as an annual event in Lurë.

Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, joined residents and visitors for the celebration. On social media, she described it as a festival that unites everyone and proudly showcases the region’s rich traditions and culture.

“The village church, named Sh’Mraja, is a treasure not just for Lurë. I am glad to return and visit it again,” Balluku said.

The Church of St. Mary houses ruins of a 630-year-old church. Recently restored, it has become a tourist destination for visitors to Lurë.

Sh’Mraja brings together locals and tourists in a festive atmosphere with traditional music and regional costumes.
