“Gjon Mili” Art Festival Kicks Off in Korça, Concludes in New York

The third edition of the international “Gjon Mili” Art Festival began in Korça, focusing on video art.
The festival honors Gjon Mili, the renowned artist and photographer known for his experimental techniques. It brings together artists, filmmakers, and audiences from around the world.
The program includes video art exhibitions and film screenings, promoting cultural exchange and inspiring new creative perspectives.
For three consecutive days, the building bearing the master of light’s name and legacy transforms into a lively space where video art invites participants to explore the intersection of image, memory, and visual experimentation.
In early September, the festival will continue in the old village of Dhërmi, along the Riviera, amid historic homes under open skies.
The festival will culminate in Manhattan, New York, where Gjon Mili reached the peak of his career. From 26–28 September, it will conclude with a night honoring award-winning artists and a three-day program of selected participants, reflecting this edition’s theme: light as a sensitive, dynamic, and transformative medium.
