Work has begun to enrich the Puppet Theatre with exhibits, a souvenir corner, and artistic installations. The news was announced by Minister of Culture Blendi Gonxhja. He said that children will now have the chance to enjoy the archive of puppet shows from previous years.

Gonxhja explained that after the inauguration of the restored building, the theatre held over 120 shows this year alone. The performances attracted more than 17,500 spectators.

Part of the building will be dedicated to its history as the First Albanian Parliament.

“Soon, a pleasant museum space will be added to the capital. A special part of the building will be dedicated to its history as the First Albanian Parliament. This is where the first steps of parliamentary life in the country took place. Documents, photographs, and exhibited objects will make this space a reference point for local visitors and foreign tourists. Visitors have shown growing interest in this aspect of history,” Gonxhja wrote on the social media platform Facebook.
