The National Book and Reading Center has announced the jury for the 2024 National Literature Awards.

The jury includes well-known figures in literature and journalism: writer Besnik Mustafaj, literature professor and scholar Dhurata Shehri, University of Tirana professor Elsa Skënderi, poet and translator Maklena Nika, and culture journalist Fatmira Nikolli.

Earlier this year, in the previous edition of the National Literature Awards, Besnik Mustafaj received the prize for Best Novel of the Year with “Fat i marrë” [Weird Fate].

The National Literature Awards also recognize the best scholarly work, best translation, best poetry collection, and best children’s book of the year.
