In Malësia e Madhe, the cultural event “Meeting of Albanian-Speaking Lute Players” took place for the second year. Artists from across Albanian-speaking regions revived epic verses and honoured historic figures. The gathering carried a clear message: preserving the lute means safeguarding the national spirit.

Deputy Mayor Sytki Ndrecaj said the event calls on younger generations to value the ancient instrument and its epic tradition. He added that the municipality is committed to strengthening ethno-cultural activities, including the Lute Festival.

The evening offered a vivid reminder of old traditions. The audience followed the echoes of the lute in an atmosphere that recalled the historic chamber (oda) gatherings, affirming ties with national roots and identity.
