The Historical Museum of Shkodër came alive with a traditional city wedding.

Mayor Benet Beci shared videos of the event on social media. He praised students from “28 Nëntori” High School for reviving this cherished local tradition.

Beci said, “‘Paja e vajzës’ is a Shkodër tradition. This event restores it and passes it proudly to future generations.”

Students dressed in traditional costumes and reenacted key wedding scenes. They recreated moments that reflect the city’s rich history.

The performance connected generations and showcased that Shkodër’s wedding traditions remain a living cultural treasure.
