Shkodër held the “European Languages Fair” today in front of the city hall. The event marked the European Day of Languages, celebrated every year on September 26.

The fair promoted the linguistic and cultural wealth of European countries. It also raised awareness about the importance of learning foreign languages.

The event involved Shkodër Municipality, the Local Education Office, Luigj Gurakuqi University, schools, and local language centers.

Students and young people presented projects, songs, and materials reflecting Europe’s history and culture. Stands and interactive activities created a festive atmosphere.

Organizers said, “Language is more than words. It is identity, culture, and heritage. Today, children and youth shared pieces of this heritage and sent a strong message of coexistence and intercultural understanding.”

The Municipality and participating institutions called the fair an important contribution to European education and the promotion of shared cultural values.
