The General Directorate of Road Transport Services (DPSHTRR) is organizing a special international event in Tirana through the Retro Albania project. The goal is to strengthen Albania’s role in preserving and promoting automotive heritage.

The event puts the Albanian capital in the international spotlight. Foreign delegations attend, positioning Albania as a hub for car culture and tourism.

A highlight is the Heritage Hall of Fame award from the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA). This prestigious prize honors outstanding contributions to preserving historic vehicles.

For the first time in Albania, the 2025 award goes to Albanian collector Medi Halilaj. He is recognized for his lasting efforts in safeguarding classic cars.

The event showcases Albania’s commitment to culture, history, and innovation in transport, while giving the country a new international presence.
