Vladimir Myrtezai Opens “NO ART ZONE” Exhibition at COD

The Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD) hosted the opening of Vladimir Myrtezai’s exhibition, “NO ART ZONE,” today.
The exhibition continues Myrtezai’s artistic journey, which first challenged the “Socialist Realism” paradigm as an ideological tool. With changing systems, he avoided falling into rigid contemporary art narratives, resisting a form of institutionalized “freedom.”
Artists, curators, intellectuals, and art enthusiasts attended the opening. They explored the works and discussed the creative process and the exhibition’s message with the artist.
Prime Minister Edi Rama also attended. On social media, he invited citizens to visit the exhibition and shared photos from the event. “Vladimir Myrtezai and his daughter Noel have brought an exhibition to COD not to be missed,” Rama wrote.
“NO ART ZONE” invites visitors to reflect on the boundaries of art and the freedom of creation.
