Today the United Nations Marks 80th Anniversary! Festive Concert “Better Together” Held in Tirana

To mark the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, Tirana will host a festive concert titled “Better Together.” The event will take place on Friday evening at the Cultural Center of the Orthodox Church. It will create an atmosphere of reflection, art, and international messaging.
The concert is part of the International Cultural Weeks. It will bring together Albanian and foreign artists in a multidimensional program featuring music, poetry, and spoken word performances. The program highlights universal values such as peace, justice, human rights, and global cooperation.
“Better Together” will feature works by renowned international authors, including Bob Dylan, Edgar Albert Guest, and John Lennon. These performances will blend with elements of traditional Albanian music and presentations by young artists, offering a unique artistic journey that transcends languages and borders.
The concert will focus on five central themes: Peace and Nonviolence, Human Rights and Justice, Dignity and Equality, Global Solidarity, and Hope for Future Generations. It will invite reflection and collaboration in the spirit of the United Nations Charter.
The event continues a series of cultural activities in Tirana under international collaborations. Immediately after, on October 28, 2025, the Austrian Cultural Week will begin. Supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sports, it will feature concerts, exhibitions, and other cultural activities to further enrich the city’s artistic calendar.
