The cultural association of minority women in Sarandë, “Rodhon to Amarandon”, partnered with the Sarandë Municipality to host the second edition of the traditional children’s festival “Mbi kaltërsinë e detit.”

The festival gathered dance groups from Janina, Igumenica, Corfu, Gjirokastra, and Sarandë, who performed folk dances, passionately showcasing the region’s cultural heritage.

The event took place on the Sarandë promenade, featuring performances by children’s groups from the Greek minority in Albania, the Dërmishi School, Sarandë Youth Folkloric Group, Libohovë Folkloric Group, and Derviçan Folkloric Group.

Children in colorful traditional costumes moved in synchronized dances, creating a festive atmosphere that delighted the audience.

The variety of costumes and vibrant performances highlighted cross-border youth collaboration and conveyed that art and culture know no boundaries.
