From today until November 7, Tirana and Gjirokastër host Spanish Culture Week.

The week features books, films, traditional dance, and Spanish cuisine.

Events start today with two highlights: the book launch of “Anatomy of a Moment” by Javier Cercas, translated by Bashkim Shehu, and a flamenco performance by ballerina Lucia La Bronce at the Orthodox Cathedral.

Spanish cinema takes center stage on November 4–6 at the “Agimi” Art Center, with selected films on display.

On November 5, Spanish winery Emilio Moro offers a wine tasting at Kope restaurant in Tirana. Teresa Aumesquet, commercial director for Europe, leads the event, guiding participants through the wines’ flavors and characteristics.

On November 6, Gjeli i Pazarit restaurant hosts “Vamos de Tapeo”, a tapas night with beer and sangria. Reservations are required.

The week concludes on November 7 at the UNED Center in Gjirokastër. Guitarist Denis Bizhga, founder and artistic director of the Albania International Guitar Festival, performs. His classical guitar concert connects the audience with Spanish tradition and passion.
