Standing Ovations for the Ballet “La Sylphide” at TKOB

The audience ended the second night of the magical ballet La Sylphide with thunderous applause.
Last night, a new cast of dancers shone on the stage of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Eles Resuli danced as La Sylphide, Jonida Qafmolla played Effie, and Anxhelo Muçollari performed as James. Alisa Gjoni appeared as Madge, while the Symphony Orchestra of TKOBAP performed under the direction of the renowned Gridi Kraja.
Director Aulon Naçi described the evening as “magical” in a social media post. He said the ballet La Sylphide filled the stage with warm autumn colours and emotions. The packed hall applauded the ballet troupe with great enthusiasm.
La Sylphide, one of the most romantic works in the classical repertoire, tells an impossible love story between a young man and a mystical forest spirit. The tale unfolds between dream and reality, accompanied by enchanting music and delicate choreography.
Set in Scotland in 1836, the story follows James, a young man about to marry Effie. However, a mysterious forest creature appears first in his dream and then in real life, captivating him with her beauty.
Tonight, the TKOBAP ballet company will present the final performance of La Sylphide.
