TIRANA, November 13 – More than 1.4 million visitors have toured Albania’s cultural sites since the start of 2025.

Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sports Blendi Gonxhja said 1,431,726 domestic and foreign tourists visited museums, castles, and archaeological parks between January and October. The figure marks a 56% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

National museums welcomed 421,000 visitors, archaeological parks over 602,000, and castles and monuments about 408,000. Gonxhja said the growing numbers reflect stronger interest in Albania’s cultural heritage.

With the tourist season concluded in October, heritage institutions will continue to open from Tuesday to Sunday. The last Sunday of each month remains a free-entry day for Albanian visitors.
