President Begaj: U.S. investments are growing, great potential for economic cooperation

President Bajram Begaj attended the ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania.
In his address, the Head of State emphasized the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between Albania and the United States.
Begaj said that the United States has consistently supported Albania in strengthening the rule of law, fighting organized crime, and reducing corruption. He added that this support plays a vital role in the country’s democratic progress and the consolidation of its institutions.
The President praised the American Chamber of Commerce for promoting development in key areas such as education, culture, and tourism. He also acknowledged its role in boosting economic cooperation between the two countries.
Begaj pointed out that trade exchanges and U.S. investments in Albania have grown significantly in recent years. He emphasized that there is even greater potential for economic cooperation, which should be treated as part of a long-term strategic partnership, similar to the political, security, and defense ties that already exist.
He also encouraged deeper collaboration in innovation, new technologies, and artificial intelligence. According to him, these fields can bring knowledge exchange, higher productivity, and new investment opportunities for Albanian businesses.
