Albania to Join Group F at the 2026 World Cup if It Qualifies

The World Cup draw took place this Friday in Washington D.C. The qualified teams, along with those still fighting for a spot, learned their potential opponents. The finals will take place in June–July 2026 in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
If Albania qualifies for the 2026 World Cup, it will join Group F with the Netherlands, Japan, and Tunisia.
President of the Albanian Football Association Armand Duka attended the ceremony, alongside leading figures of European and global football.
Albania finished the qualifying campaign in second place in Group K. It collected 14 points, with 4 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses. This result marks a historic achievement, as Albania secured a World Cup play-off spot for the first time.
Next, Albania will play the play-off semifinal against Poland on March 26 in Warsaw. If Albania wins, it will face the winner of Ukraine vs. Sweden on March 31, also away from home, for a place in the 2026 World Cup.
