Foreign Direct Investment Reaches €1.21 Billion in Nine Months

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Albania reached €1.21 billion in the first nine months of 2025. Data from the Bank of Albania show a 4% increase compared with the same period last year. The figures confirm continued foreign investor interest in the Albanian economy.
Real estate led foreign investment for the fourth year in a row.
In the third quarter of 2025, foreign investment in property reached €150 million. This was 70% higher than in the same quarter last year.
For the full nine-month period, foreign investment in real estate totaled €403 million. This marked a 50% increase year on year.
The financial sector ranked second.
Foreign investment in financial and insurance activities reached €219 million in the first nine months of 2025. This was up 6.3% from a year earlier.
The Bank of Albania says recent growth in financial-sector investment mainly comes from capital increases and new investments by existing companies. These developments supported overall economic growth.
